Our Patron body Educate Together informed us that Griffeen Valley ETNS will undertake a fire safety audit in the near future.

The Department of Education and Skills informed Educate Together that they will appoint an expert to check on all 36 schools who were part of the "rapid build" programme. Griffeen Valley is one of these schools.

We wish the school community to be aware that these audits are a safety measure being taken by the Department  to ensure that there are no fire safety issues with any of the school buildings constructed during this period.

It is very important to highlight that the Department does not believe there are fire safety issues with the 36 schools generally.

We will keep everybody informed if there are any updates.
