Ethos and Values
Griffeen Valley Educate Together National School (GVETNS) is a child-centered, co-educational, multi-denominational, democratically-run primary school under the patronage of Educate Together. As a National School we follow the curriculum guidelines of the Department of Education and Skills. We endeavour to work cooperatively with all members of the school community to provide a holistic education.
We are committed to delivering an excellent education to our pupils, which focuses on children’s learning. Griffeen Valley ETNS strives to be a learning community where children and adults appreciate the value of education and work towards becoming a community of life-long learners.
The uniqueness of each individual is celebrated and each member of the school community, child and adult, is treated with dignity and respect. Children are encouraged to develop attitudes which will enable them to become respectful, responsible, considerate, open-minded and imaginative members of society.
Griffeen Valley Educate Together National School aspires to create a happy, safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where each child is provided with the opportunity to reach his or her highest potential.
